چکیده

Methods In a prospective, multicenter study, 269 patients with acute anterior or large inferior AMI undergoing primary or rescue PCI ( 24 h from symptom onset) were randomly assigned after successful PCI to receive hyperoxemic reperfusion (treatment group) or normoxemic blood autoreperfusion (control group). Hyperoxemic reperfusion was performed for 90 min using intracoronary AO. The primary end points were final infarct size at 14 days, ST-segment resolution, and regional wall motion score index of the infarct zone at 3 months.

Interventional Cardiology Initial Experience With Hyperoxemic Reperfusion After Primary Angioplasty for Acute Myocardial Infarction Results of a Pilot Study Utilizing Intracoronary Aqueous Oxygen Therapy

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of intracoronary hyperoxemic reperfusion after primary angioplasty for acute myocardial infarction (MI). BACKGROUND Hyperoxemic therapy with aqueous oxygen (AO) attenuates reperfusion injury and preserves left ventricular (LV) function in experimental models of MI. METHODS In a multi-center study of patients with ac...

The streptokinase therapy complications and its associated risk factors in patients with acute ST elevation myocardial infarction

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is one of the main leading causes of mortality and morbidity. Despite the progress in the treatment of AMI, streptokinase is still being used in many countries. Because of the critical condition of patients with AMI and complications of streptokinase therapy, this study was performed to evaluate the pattern of adverse drug reaction (ADRs) induced by streptokina...

Prediction of long-term cardiac events by 123I-MIBG imaging after acute myocardial infarction and reperfusion therapy

Objective(s): In heart failure, the heart-to-mediastinum (H/M) ratio of the delayed image and washout rate (WR) are well-known as a powerful cardiac event predictors. H/M ratio quantifies the accumulation rate of MIBG in the myocardium and WR quantifies reduction of meta-iodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) accumulation in the heart from the early planar image to the delayed pla...

A Rare Case of Acute Myocardial Infarction Associated with Arsenic Poisoning

Background: Arsenic toxicity as a result of consumption of hair removal agent has been rarely seen in last few years in comparison with the past. Case Presentation: In this case report, we presented a middle age woman referred to medical toxicology department due to epigastric pain and diarrhea following ingestion of hair removal agent. Urinary test for arsenic was positive. ECG changes and ele...
